The Atlanta Journal-Constitution will be launching a completely redesigned app for subscribers and non-subscribers, focused on showcasing more local news, more breaking news and the latest in traffic, weather and sports scores.

The app will be available for both iOS and Android devices. It can be downloaded for free from your favorite app stores beginning February 10.

As part of the redesign, users will discover:

  • EXPANDED LOCAL COVERAGE: Choose the news you want to read at any time with our in-depth sections under local and national news, sports, entertainment, neighborhoods and more.
  • INTERACTIVE RADAR: Track storms down to your street. The forecasts are updated throughout the day. Personalize the weather by adding locations you are interested in following.
  • EASY TO NAVIGATE: Content sections are accessible from the homepage. Swipe to see the content subsections. Easily browse articles with our new infinite scroll. View the photo galleries with a swipe or tap and scroll through all the images. Share easily with friends on Facebook, Twitter and email.
  • REAL-TIME NEWS ALERTS: Be the first to read the news you care about. Subscribe to personalized notifications and receive breaking news 24/7.

“The app allows us to continue to lead the way in Atlanta with credible breaking, local and investigative news – the quality journalism that our readers trust from us online,” said AJC Editor Kevin Riley. “I am also very excited that the new version of our AJC app will provide enhanced functionality and a better reading experience, especially for those viewing our content on mobile devices, where most of our online news is consumed.”

Stay informed, connected and up to date. The new app will be available for download on February 10.
