The Cobb Chamber of Commerce has announced the finalists and winner of the Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) for Chattahoochee Technical College. The winner is Chris Rosson, and finalists are Luana Scienza, Hillary Sommer and Patricia Wilson. These individuals represent the high caliber of students who attend Chattahoochee Technical College and will advance to the state level of the GOAL competition. Their naming was announced at the chamber’s First Monday breakfast on April 1. The GOAL program, sponsored by the Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education, was initiated in 1971 to recognize the academic success and personal achievement of the state’s technical college students. Four finalists are chosen from each technical college in Georgia, and one is selected as the winner to compete at the state level. The Cobb Chamber has been a proud local sponsor since 1984. Each finalist and winner receives a scholarship.
