Families are invited to test their fishing skills, have fun, and enjoy fellowship at a youth and adult fishing derby hosted by Clayton County Parks & Recreation. Cost is $5 per person. The derby takes place at the beach at the upper lake at Clayton County International Park. Please bring bait and equipment. Prizes will be awarded for heaviest catfish and heaviest bass. The derby takes place from 8 a.m. to noon for three Saturdays — June 15, July 13 and Aug. 3. The park is at 2300 Highway 138, Jonesboro 30236.
