A gunman killed more than two dozen people Friday at an elementary school in Connecticut, according to media sources.
The Associated Press is reporting that 27 people, included 18 children, were shot and killed in Newtown, Conn.
The shooting erupted Friday morning.
The gunman has been killed and two guns recovered.
The shooting comes just three days after masked gunman Jacob Roberts opened fire in a busy Portland, Ore., mall killing two before turning the gun on himself.
Today’s shooting occurred at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, about 12 miles east of Danbury.
