Police arrested a man Friday in connection with the June death of a pedestrian hit in a Gwinnett County crosswalk.

Martin Gable, 51, turned himself in Friday facing charges of vehicular homicide in the second degree and failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, both misdemeanors, according to Lawrenceville police Capt. Jeff Smith.

Rama Sriram, 66, of Tucker, was struck by a Gwinnett County van driven by Gable and killed in a crosswalk at a four-way-stop at Langley Drive and Constitution Boulevard near the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported.

Gable, an Information Technology Associate for the county, according to his LinkedIn, told police he had stopped at the crosswalk, and Smith said all evidence in the investigation supports his claim.

Gable was released the same day on a $2,950 bond.
