Cell phones on a plane may cause pain

The Federal Communications Commission, or FCC, is reconsidering a ban on in-flight cell phone calls.

The possible rule change would permit passengers to make calls once the flight reaches 10,000 feet. The takeoff and landing restrictions would stand.

The FCC will discuss the change at its December meeting.  Officials will then take public comment before making a final ruling as early as next year.
