A cargo plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International airport early Monday after it was struck by lightning, WCPO reported.
According to airport spokeswoman Mindy Kershner, the DHL cargo plane landed after it was hit about 2:30 a.m., the television station reported.
The plane appeared to have smoke coming from its wing areas as it landed, WXIX reported.
Officials said no one was hurt, and the plane was taken to a hangar, WLWT reported.
The fire department was stationed at the tarmac, but crews were not needed once the plane landed, WCPO reported.
DHL officials could not be immediately reached for comment, WXIX reported.
