Two women were injured, one critically, in a two-vehicle wreck Tuesday afternoon in Forsyth County.

The wreck happened around 12:40 p.m. on Browns Bridge Road at the intersection with Waldrip Circle near Gainesville, according to Deputy Robin Regan with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office. Browns Bridge Road was temporarily closed in both directions during the investigation, Regan told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

An elderly woman was extricated from a vehicle and flown to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition, according to Division Chief Jason Shivers with the Forsyth County fire department. A second woman was in serious condition and transported by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Shivers said. The names of the injured women were not released.
