A teenager was hit by a pickup truck while walking home from school Wednesday afternoon in Henry County, according to police.
The 17-year-old boy, whose name was not released, was walking down Tunis Road when he apparently darted into traffic, Sgt. Joey Smith with Henry County police said.
A pickup truck driver was unable to stop and hit the teen, Smith said. The driver stopped at the scene, police said.
The teenager was flown to Atlanta Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, Smith said. His parents were notified, Smith said.
The incident remains under investigation, but no charges are expected, according to police.
