April 29: A security guard and five FedEx employees were shot and wounded by 19-year-old Geddy Lee Kramer, a FedEx employee armed with a shotgun. Kramer then killed himself.
May 13: A 17-year-old Therrell High School student was accused of shooting five people near the southwest Atlanta school. Marcellus Brooks had pleaded not guilty to a felony robbery charge less than a week before the shooting. Four of those injured were Therrell students.
May 21: Woodstock's Angel J. Perez-Martinez was shot and killed, and two others were injured, outside a lounge called the Dirty Ryderz MC Clubhouse on Lee Street in Atlanta. At the time, officers were looking for suspects.
May 28: Two shootings happened on Franklin Road in Marietta. A young girl was struck by a stray bullet when a fight broke out near Cinnamon Ridge Apartments. Two people were detained after the shooting. Earlier that morning, police responded to a fatal shooting next door at the Dwell at 750 Apartments. One man was killed and two others were wounded during a fight. Police were seeking a suspect at the time.
June 6: A Marietta man was arrested in connection with the fatal shootings of two 20-year-old men in an upscale Roswell subdivision. Nicholas Farrell Abry and Spencer David Long were shot and killed while inside an SUV parked outside of Abry's home. Stephen Oliver Heller was arrested a short time later in a Kroger parking lot. The shootings happened in the 100 block of Lynwood Drive, police said.
