A Gwinnett County high school student struck last week by a vehicle near Lilburn died over the weekend, police said.
Jonathan Porter, 16, was seriously injured on the morning of March 18 as he walked to Parkview High School, authorities said.
Porter was trying to cross Five Forks Trickum Road near Arlene Court when he was hit by the driver of a 1998 Buick Century, police said. The accident happened a short distance from the school, which is on nearby Cole Road.
He was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center in serious condition. The driver is not being charged, Gwinnett County Cpl. Ed Ritter said.
