The city of Orlando has begun releasing the names of victims killed in the shooting this morning that left an estimated 50 dead.

The city is releasing only names of victims whose families have already been notified. It says it will continue to update this post. As of this writing, the names include:

  • Edward Sotomayor Jr.
  • Stanley Almodovar III
  • Luis Omar Ocasio-Capo
  • Juan Ramon Guerrero

An attack early Sunday morning at Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando, left 50 dead and another 53 wounded, according to police. The shooter has been identified as Omar Mateen, who allegedly called 911 from the club to pledge allegiance to ISIS. The shooter's father said his son had become angry over "men kissing."

President Obama has called the attack "an act of terror."
