Greg Germani, the bicyclist who was struck by a hit and run driver on a residential road in Morningside last year, appeared in court today to watch Joseph Alan Lewis of Atlanta plead guilty to the charges. He was sentenced to 15 years.

Germani, a familiar sight on the local music scene and the creator of the popular Atlanta Time Machine website, suffered a severe brain injury, among other injuries.

His recovery and the community of friends, care givers and musicians that have rallied around him were featured in Personal Journeys earlier this year. Click here to read the story.
