A 13-year-old boy died around 2:30 Wednesday afternoon after being ejected from a motorcycle in Douglas County, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
The boy, Tre Lovell Shelton, of Douglasville, was driving a Honda motorcycle northbound on Yeager Road when he struck a curb, left the roadway and hit a pole, GSP spokeswoman Tracey Watson said Wednesday night.
The motorcycle overturned and the boy was ejected. He was transported to the hospital, but did not survive.
No further details about the crash were available late Wednesday.
