A mostly dry Thursday and Friday are on the way for metro Atlanta. But don’t put the umbrella away yet.

Saturday’s forecast includes a 60 percent chance of rain, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist David Chandley. Until then, expect the threat of pop-up showers to end Wednesday night, Chandley said.

“The rain chance is going down for a change,” Chandley said.

High temperatures Thursday and Friday should climb into the upper 80s before dipping to the lower 70s at night, Chandley said. Weekend high temperatures are expected to be slightly cooler, lingering in the mid-80s.
