A prisoner at the Atlanta Transitional Center is on the loose after going to his job and failing to return Monday, authorities said.

William Henry Strozier, born in 1962, is serving time for burglary and theft charges in Coweta and Troup counties, according to Georgia Department of Corrections records. It is his ninth stint in a Georgia prison since 1983.

He was set to finish his prison sentence in October 2021, records show.

His specific place of employment was not provided, but it is within Atlanta.

Anyone who spots Strozier is urged to not approach him. Instead, the GDC said to call 478-992-5111.
