As public comment continues ahead of a planned vote by Atlanta City Council on funding for the public safety training center, the city of Atlanta posted two videos on social media – both from supporters of the project. Shortly before 5:30 p.m., the two posts were deleted.

The majority of the speakers during the public comment portion have been against the planned public safety training center, with a minority speaking in favor, including an Atlanta police officer. More than 350 people have signed up to speak, with more expected to sign up later. Here is a link to the livestream for readers who want to hear both sides.

Five hours into the public comments, only four people had spoken in favor of the training center.
