An Arizona man is accused of causing $5,000 worth of damage at a Jack in the Box restaurant after his credit cards were rejected, KNXV reported.
Lorenzo Enresto Sanchez, 22, was charged with assault and criminal damage, according to Maricopa County court records.
Tempe police said that on April 3, a man later identified as Sanchez was trying to pay for his food at the walk-up window of the fast-food restaurant, KNXV reported. When his two credit cards were declined, Sanchez was asked to leave, according to the television station.
Police said Sanchez left, but returned and punched the walk-up window, KNXV reported. A customer, who described Sanchez to police as "hostile," was scared and tried to leave the restaurant on his scooter, but Sanchez allegedly pushed him into a wall and then slammed the scooter to the ground, the television station reported.
According to police, Sanchez allegedly forced his way into the restaurant and destroyed a cash register, KNXV reported. An employee, armed with a knife, told Sanchez to leave.
Police arrested Sanchez in the parking lot of the restaurant, the television station reported.
