TRAFFIC UPDATE: Lanes reopen after major crash on I-285 East in Doraville

Lanes have reopened on I-285 East through Doraville after a serious crash caused heavy delays early Thursday.
The collision happened around 4:30 a.m. on the Perimeter at Buford Highway, or Exit 32, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation. Several DeKalb County first responder vehicles were blocking the interstate until shortly before 7:30 a.m.

One lane was getting by throughout the incident, but the blockage still led to delays stretching back nearly to Ashford Dunwoody Road as morning commuters funneled onto their routes.
Authorities have not confirmed what caused the crash or the extent of any injuries.
