Moms and dads of little ones can add a little sigh of relief after taking advantage of free car seat safety inspections and installations offered by the Sandy Springs Police Department.

According to police, ‘Making sure children are in the right car seat, and that it’s used correctly and properly installed, reduces the risk of serious injury and death in a crash. Unfortunately, the latest research from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration shows that nearly half (46%) of car seats are misused.”

Schedule an appointment or ask questions: Officer Manne at cmanne@sandyspringsga.gov.

Parents, grandparents and caregivers, unable to schedule a car seat safety check, can find additional information at www.safekids.org. The organization is also offering a virtual safety check with a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician Saturday, Sept. 25. This can be done from the safety and convenience from home via Zoom.
