Johns Creek has officially opened a new pocket park near the roundabout at Bell and Boles roads. City staff, Recreation & Parks Advisory Committee members, and community members marked the official opening of the park with a recent ribbon cutting ceremony.

The 2.5-acre Bell Road Pocket Park features a large open green space, a stone labyrinth, butterfly garden, and benches.

Pocket parks are traditionally small parks with 4 acres or less. They are designed to serve nearby neighborhoods with green space and the possibility of playgrounds. Pocket parks have limited facilities, and little or no parking, but can provide a peaceful place for residents to visit or gather.

Development of this new park is included in Johns Creek’s Recreation and Parks Master Plan.
