A $620,660 bid for repair work to a portion of the local water system was approved by the Stockbridge City Council at its Sept. 28 workshop meeting. The work to be done by Allsouth Constructors Inc. is focusing on the Mays Crossing lift station and force main which serves a number of commercial properties on Hwy. 138 just west of North Henry Boulevard and east of I-675.

Rehabilitation of the lift station will include the installation of approximately 900 linear feet of six-inch force main, according to a city staff report, with a variety of materials and equipment being utilized. Information: cityofstockbridge.com.
