Chamblee police are continuing to look for a man they say assaulted a Lyft driver before pulling out a gun in February.

Tajmire Flood ordered a Lyft ride from an Amoco gas station along Peachtree Road on Feb. 25 about 10:30 p.m. using a friend’s account, police said. When he got into the vehicle, Flood was asked by the driver to move from the seat behind him to the opposite side, which made Flood upset, according to Chamblee police detective Chris Donaby.

Shortly after leaving the gas station, the driver told Flood that he did not feel comfortable with him in his vehicle, Donaby said. The driver then returned to the pickup location and asked the passenger to exit.

“As the passenger exited the vehicle, he punched the Lyft driver in the face from behind,” said Donaby, who added that as Flood exited the vehicle he made a threat to cause bodily harm and brandished a handgun.

Flood did not shoot and “just walked off nonchalantly after the incident as if nothing happened,” Donaby said, pointing to surveillance footage obtained of the incident.
