An online survey about Smyrna’s new aquatics center and new tennis/pickleball facility will be available through Oct. 26.

In 2020, Smyrna voters approved a plan to use Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) funding to build an aquatics facility.

City officials are proposing the use of Tolleson Park, which has an outdoor pool, for the new aquatics center at 3530 King Springs Road.

Since the proposed aquatics center would need to use existing space for tennis courts, a new facility for tennis and pickleball is being planned at 866 Church St. next to the Aline Wolfe Senior Center.

The proposed aquatics center would provide both indoor and outdoor pools.
