WINNER: Best patio in metro Atlanta

Sitting outside at a restaurant is a great way to enjoy the weather and people watch

This week’s Best of Atlanta poll wanted to know where your favorite patio is when you decide to eat out.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is committed to continuing our normal features, where appropriate, during the coronavirus outbreak. For full coverage of the outbreak in Atlanta, please check our Coronavirus News Section. We have decided to continue Best of Atlanta voting for the time being, despite social distancing. We encourage our readers to support local businesses after the authorities loosen the social distancing rules — along with supporting those businesses that offer delivery or pickup during the outbreak.

Sitting outside to dine is a great way to enjoy the weather and watch people. And Atlanta will be able to enjoy metro area restaurants’ patios again.

Whether you prefer to dine with your good friends or man's best friend, Atlanta has great patio locations both inside and outside — the Perimeter, that is.

This week’s Best of Atlanta poll wanted to know where your favorite patio is when you decide to eat out.

Voting was close among the top three vote-getters, but we’ll build up to those.

Tied for sixth place were Secreto Southern Kitchen & BarSeed Kitchen & Bar, and write-in nominee Canoe.

Tied for fourth place were Garden & Gun Club and Table & Main.

Third place went to 1910 Public House in Lilburn. In addition to pickup and delivery right now, 1910 Public House is selling hand sanitizer produced by nearby Hope Springs Distillery, Georgia's first distillery to produce absinthe. Customers can purchase up to four 8-ounce bottles of hand sanitizer for $7 each, or get a free bottle with any spirits purchase. For more information, visit the distillery's website.

In second place was Ladybird Grove and Mess Hall, along the Atlanta Beltline. Although Ladybird is closed right now, be sure to "bring the pup for an evening of yard games, craft cocktails and a gourmet take on campfire food."

Reclaiming the top spot for 2020 was Six Feet Under. Known for its view of Historic Oakland Cemetery and fresh seafood, Six Feet Under was No. 2 last year, but No. 1 in 2017 and '18. Although the Westside location is closed right now, the Grant Park pub is open for takeout and delivery.
