Fans of HGTV’s super-hit “Fixer Upper” show totally lost it when hosts Chip and Joanna Gaines used social media to announce they were expecting baby No. 5.
So, that had us wondering more about children one through four.
In several interviews, the home remodeling, miracle-working duo have shared little things about their expanding brood.
For instance, the couple have four other children: : Drake, 12, Ella,11, Duke, 9 and Emmie, 7.
Fans may sometimes see them on the show, but the couple largely keep them out of the spotlight.
The couple said in a 2016 interview with Entertainment Tonight that they didn’t plan on getting their children mobile phones. Rather, they wanted them to enjoy everything else live has to offer.
"We want to teach our kids that life happens outside of these devices,” Joanna Gaines told ET during a visit to the family farm in Waco, Texas. “ It’s just a simple thing to go outside and connect with nature, play with your friends and get dirty."
The children often help their parents around the family “Magnolia” businesses and the farm.
The Gaineses want to raise the #gaineskids to have normal childhoods. They both occasionally post photos of them on social media.
For their son, Duke’s, birthday, Joanna Gaines posted in Instagram that “All he requested was balloons and mama's cinnamon rolls... someone's got a birthday tomorrow!!”
