‘I survived another #AJCPRR!’: Twitter reacts to the AJC Peachtree Road Race
Atlanta celebrated the Fourth of July by running the AJC Peachtree Road Race, a giant extravaganza of amazing runners and goofy costumes.
Twitter celebrated the Peachtree Road Race the way it always does, with jokes and complaints about MARTA.
The most common type of tweet about the PRR was the post-race selfie.

Then there were complaints about the crowds and MARTA service.
@MARTASERVICE completely unprepared to get people to the Peachtree this morning. So many of my fellow runners missed their start times.... so disappointing

Jeezy also made some waves running in the race.

There were also some words of appreciation for the police officers and public workers who make this day possible.
I survived another #AJCPRR! Big thanks to the volunteers, Atlanta police officers, sanitation workers and others who make this the biggest 10k and best 4th of July parade on Earth! pic.twitter.com/bl0P7EDYQM

And lastly, there were those who didn’t go, whether they were busy or thought waking up early on a holiday to go running was crazy.
I'm so glad I decided not to do the Peachtree this year 😂

I've been in Atlanta for over two decades and am just now seeing part of the Peachtree Road Race in person, albeit it from like 150 yards away.

No, I didn't do this on purpose.
