PepsiCo has promoted Sarah Robb O'Hagan to president of Gatorade North America and global chief marketing officer for sports nutrition. O'Hagan, who was previously chief marketing officer for the giant sports drink brand, will be responsible for the entire Gatorade business in North America and will lead the development of sports nutrition on a global scale. That includes launching Gatorade's "G Series" in several markets this year.

Since joining Gatorade in 2008, O'Hagan has been recognized by Forbes as one of the most powerful women in sports, as one of Crain's "40 Under 40″ and by Advertising Age in its list of "Women to Watch."

Massimo d'Amore, chief executive of PepsiCo Beverages America, said new varieties of Gatorade launched recently, combined with better marketing communications, have contributed to sales growth and improved perceptions of the Gatorade brand.
