FedEx, Michaels and a few other metro Atlanta area companies are looking to add to their ranks of employees this September. If you're looking for a new job, you'll find openings for a variety of skilled and unskilled positions.

Here's a brief look at what's available this month in and around Atlanta:

Gate Gourmet

Gate Gourmet, an independent airline catering provider at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, is hiring food preparers, dishwashers, storeroom clerks, porters (to clean the flight kitchen area) and equipment assemblers (to assemble beverages, ice, cutlery, etc. for flights).

Southern Tea 

Southern Tea, a division of Harris Freeman, is the largest private label tea packaging facility in the U.S. Located in Marietta, the company is hiring utility workers, machine operators, machine cleaners and maintenance mechanics/technicians.

If you're interested in any of these positions, a job fair is being held at 1267 Cobb Industrial Drive, Marietta from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Sept. 8.

Eastside Medical Center 

Eastside Medical Center in Snellville has just under 60 openings for positions including registered nurses, unit secretaries, surgical technicians, echo technologists, speech language pathologists and more.

FedEx

FedEx is hiring around 60 new employees at their Atlanta facilities. They're looking to fill a variety of positions, including those for a retail store customer service associate, store manager, drivers, handlers, hospitality events consultant and supply chain pricing analyst.

Michaels

Michaels stores are gearing up to sell holiday décor and crafts for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, and they're hiring employees at their Atlanta stores. Managers, cashiers, merchandise stockers, custom art framers, class instructors and more are needed in multiple Atlanta locations.
