Unlike Cobb County , Atlanta, DeKalb, Fulton and Gwinnett did not cancel school Tuesday.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reached out to those districts to see if they had plans to release students early or cancel after-school outdoor activities.

So far, DeKalb and Gwinnett have responded. Officials within both school systems said in emails to The AJC that there are no plans to release students early.

A wintry mix of sleet, rain and snow began falling across the northern suburbs around 4 a.m. Tuesday, while snow was reported across the mountain counties. Drivers are urged to check current traffic conditions  before leaving home. Read the full story and forecast.
