A man was arrested in connection with the shooting death of his girlfriend Monday in front of her children.

A neighborhood was put on lock-down while police searched for the man in Douglasville, according to Channel Action News.

rom the 7000 block of Hunters Ridge Drive, where he is accused of shooting his girlfriend then turning the gun on himself.

The woman died across the st

reet in her driveway, and the man was rushed to the hospital where he remains in critical condition, Channel 2 reported.

Investigators have not released the name of the woman shot or the motive of the shooting.
