hours before President Barack Obama was set to arrive.

Inside, thousands of Georgia Tech students thronged in bleachers, munching on popcorn and pretzels for sale in the concession stands.

Tech's band blared pep songs and hip-hop tunes as nervous TV reporters worried they would ruin their live shots (they were assured the musicians would pipe down around noon.)

The students better get comfy. Obama isn't set to speak until 1:30 p.m. - more than three hours after the brunt of them arrived.
