Pro gambler says he'll cash $5 million if Falcons beat Pats

A professional gambler based in Las Vegas says he’ll win $5 million if the underdog Falcons beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl on Feb. 5.
Dave Oancea, known as “Vegas Dave,” says he already won $2 million when the Falcons beat the Packers in the NFC championship game on Sunday. As proof, Oancea posted to his social media accounts pictures of two of what he says are “many” winning tickets. One of the pictured tickets says it pays $220,000 on a $20,000 bet for a Falcons victory and the other says it pays $162,500 on a $25,000 bet.
(Onacea also said he partied with current Falcons star Julio Jones and former Falcons wideout Roddy White, after the NFC championship game).
In a message posted to his Twitter account, Oancea says he stands to win $5 million if the Falcons beat the Patriots. Onacea says he doesn’t plan to hedge his bets by also putting money on the Patriots.
Onacea doesn’t offer any details of his Falcons Super Bowl bets. But presumably, like his purported NFC bets, Onacea placed “futures” bets before the Falcons advanced to the Super Bowl that will pay high odds if the Falcons win outright.
As of Friday afternoon the Patriots are favored by three points over the Falcons, according to the consensus line at VegasInsider.com. The Falcons are +130 on the moneyline, which means a $10 bet pays $13.
