How the game was won: The War Eagles overpowered Lovett with their offensive onslaught behind the legs of Elijah Holyfield. In the first half alone, Woodward gained 216 yards rushing and would finish with 241 on the night.
Top performers: Elijah Holyfield finished the night with 18 carries for 174 yards and two touchdowns. …Ryan Glover scored on a 15-yard run in the first quarter and later tossed a 16-yard touchdown to Joshua Johnson. Glover went 8-of-17 through the air for 104 yards and his one touchdown pass. Martin Rodriguez drilled field goals of 37, 37 and 33 yards. …Lovett's lone score came via a Crawford Schwieger to Mason Anthony 6-yard pass with 1:56 left in regulation.
