Lassiter holds the No. 1 spot in the state’s highest classification. The Lady Trojans have won four in a row including a 6-0 win over Class AAAAAA Pope and a 1-0 win over Etowah on March 2. Second-ranked South Forsyth has won eight in in a row including a 4-0 win over North Forsyth on March 7 and a 4-1 win over Forsyth Central on March 3.
In Class AAAAAA, since the 1-1 tie to Class AAAAAAA No. 1 Lassiter on Feb. 14, No. 1 Pope has won five in a row including a March 3 victory, 6-2, over East Coweta on March 3. Harrison is the No. 2 team this week with an 11-1 win over Dalton on March 3 and a 7-1 win over Sprayberry on March 7. Chattahoochee, with a 5-1-1 record, is third.
In Class AAAAA, McIntosh is in the top spot on both the girls and boys side. The Lady Chiefs won 3-1 on March 3 against Decatur and then tied Class AAAA No. 1 St. Pius X, 1-1, on March 7. The Buford Lady Wolves hold the No. 2 spot with a 5-0 win over No. 10 Flowery Branch on March 7 and a 5-0 win over Northview on March 3.
St Pius X holds the No. 1 spot in Class AAAA with an 8-0-1 record. Pius, which tied Class AAAAA McIntosh on March 7, defeated Stephens County 10-0 on March 3. Marist in ranked second with a 4-0 win over Lakeside on Feb. 21 and a 2-0 win at Grady on Feb 27. Blessed Trinity is in the third spot, fresh off of a 5-4 win over Class A No. 2 Wesleyan. On March 2, Blessed Trinity handled Hebron 4-0 and on Feb. 27 they beat Class AAAAA No. 5 Starr’s Mill.
Class AAA is led by Westminster on both the girls and boys side. The Lady Wildcats dismantled Stone Mountain, 10-0 on March 2 and beat Class AAAAA No.1 McIntosh 5-4 on Feb. 27. The Lady Spartans of Greater Atlanta Christian hold the No. 2 spot with a recent win over Dunwoody, 1-0.
St. Vincent’s holds the No. 1 rank in Class AA with a flawless 7-0 record including a 10-0 win at Swainsboro, a 6-3 win over Class AAAAAA No. 9 Richmond Hill and 5-3 win over Camden County. East Laurens, with a 7-2 record, have won three in a row since the Feb. 24 loss to Statesboro. On March 2 East Laurens defeated Dublin 7-1. On March 3 they handled Montgomery County, 10-0. On March 7 they moved past Dodge County 4-1.
Class A is led by Fellowship Christian with a 7-3 win over Mt. Pisgah on March 7 and a 5-1 win over Hebron Christian on Feb 28. Their only loss came to Sequoyah, 5-1, on Feb. 3. The No. 2 spot is held by Wesleyan with a 4-3-1 record. Paideia is ranked third with a 5-0-1 record.
