No team has turned its early-season fortunes around quite like St. Pius.

The Golden Lions lost their first game 14-0 to Eagle's Landing, gave up a total of 26 runs in their first two contests and started their 2014 campaign with a 0-5 record. They have since won six in a row, including a 7-3 defeat of Blessed Trinity last Saturday. The marked improvement by St. Pius is further evidenced by a pair of games against Holy Innocents'. A 5-4 setback on Aug. 21 was followed by a 4-0 shutout in the Golden Lions' favor last Saturday.
