The severe weather system that has moved into Georgia has delayed the Region 8-A tourmanemt until Friday, unless the conditions do not improve.

Commerce High School principal and athletic director Donnie Drew, who is also the Region 8-A secretary, said earlier Wednesday that he was not sure when the tournament would be able to resume.  However, Towns County girls head coach Jim Melton released a new tentative schedule that has the tournament resuming on Friday at Commerce.
