Lanier graduated the state's top-rated recruit Derrick Brown to Auburn, but the cupboard isn't empty as the Longhorns have three players on GHSF Daily's Class AAAAAA preseason all-state team.

The three for Lanier are DL Michael Allen, LB Tyler Taylor and OL Jake Smith. All are rated among the top 100 senior prospects in Georgia. Allen and Taylor had 15 tackles for losses each last season, when Lanier finished 11-1.

The classification's most familiar names are QB Jake Fromm and OL D'Antne Demery, both committed to Georgia; RB Trey Sermon, committed to Oklahoma; DL Aubrey Solomon, committed to Michigan; and QB/ATH Deejay Dallas, committed to Miami. Each is among the top 25 senior prospects in the state.
