How the game was won: Locust Grove did all of its scoring in the first half en route to a shutout of host Mt. Zion-Jonesboro. The Bulldogs came close to the endzone several times but were undone by costly penalties and a fumble that was recovered by Locust Grove's Calvin Durham.
Top performers: Caleb Huntley rushed 10 times for 150 yards and one touchdown to lead the Wildcats' offense. He extended the score to 14-0 midway through the second quarter with a 76-yard scoring jaunt. ... Cameron Maddox completed 10 of 20 passes for 176 yards and two touchdowns. He tossed a 45-yarder to Aubry Payne to kick off the scoring in the opening quarter before connecting with Andre Rountree on a 37-yarder just prior to halftime.
