The No. 4-ranked Pace Academy Knights fell to the No. 8 Wesleyan Wolves, 18-9. Heading into the contest at 5-0, the Knights were off to their best start in school history. Despite the loss, they likely remain inside the top 10 given the quality of opponent, but how far they slide is yet to be seen.

The Wolves, on the other hand, improve to 5-0 and are off to their best start since 2010. They'll move up at least two spots in the rankings with Pace and No. 7 Dublin losing.

Dublin was upset 17-14 by Metter. With the win, Metter improves to 4-1 and make for a strong candidate to enter the the top 10. Helping Metter's potential debut in the rankings is No. 9 Screven County losing handily to Jefferson County, 44-20. Screven County likely exits the rankings after just one week.

The top three likely remains intact without any movement.

The state's top two teams, No. 1 Benedictine and No. 2 Fitzgerald, both pitched shutouts over Bryan County and Early County, respectively, and outscored its opponent a combined 65-0. No. 3 GAC handled B.E.S.T. Academy, 44-6.

No. 6 Darlington beat Gordon Lee, 56-35 and No. 10 Model beat Dade County, 13-3.

No. 5 Rabun County enjoyed a bye and likely moves up a spot with Pace's loss.
