How about Pace Academy?

The Knights beat Our Lady of Mercy 34-3 and it doesn't appear they have mercy for anyone else remaining on their schedule.

Going down the checklist of the Knights' opponents, the date to focus on is Oct. 9 when they face GAC. That is a game any AA fans will want to watch carefully.

Other than that, the top 10 didn't change.

Except that Lamar County and Vidalia swapped the No. 6 and 7 spots. The newly-minted No. 6 Lamar County beat an unranked team, but Vidalia lost to West Laurens, the No. 8 team in AAAA.

Also, lets all give a warm welcome to Darlington, the only school to enter the top 10 that wasn't there at the start of the season. The Tigers have outscored their opponents 61-14 through two games.

Brooks County is the odd man out in the rankings. The other Trojans started as the No. 5 team, then lost 42-7 to Ware County. That knocked them down to No. 8, when, last week, they lost 33-20 to Clinch County.

Odds are, that's the last we hear from Brooks County until the playoffs.

In the meantime, keep your eyes on Pace Academy.
