A quick look at the biggest girls games of the weekend in Class AA ...

The clear headliner is Holy Innocents' vs. Irmo High out of Columbia, S.C., in the Carolina Invitational on Friday.

Irmo is a Class AAAA team, ranked No. 1 overall in South Carolina by MaxPreps.com. Irmo is led by guard Ke'Asia Jackson (16.1 ppg, 4.6 spg). Holy Innocents' hot start has been sparked by the inside-out duo of Erika Cassell and Khayla Pointer. Cassell, a 6-foot-2 junior, was averaging 15.6 points and 14.5 rebounds through the first 10 games, while Pointer, a 5-6 sophomore point guard, was averaging 17 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 3.5 steals per game. Cassell is verbally committed to North Carolina State, while Pointer is considered to be one of the top sophomore guards in the country.
