How the game was won: Eirik Abney booted a 32-yard field goal to give Hillgrove a 17-7 lead with 2:31 left in the third quarter. The kick proved crucial as Lovejoy would tack on a score to cut the lead to three late in the third, but Abney's three points would be the difference. Lovejoy outgained Hillgrove 467 to 180, but the Hawks forced five turnovers to thwart the Wildcats.

Top performers: Hunter Arters connected on a 17-yard touchdown pass to Mark Knowles for the first points of the game and finished with 64 yards passing.
