Class AAAAAA
Grayson 70, Berkmar 6
How the game was won: Grayson scored its most points and notched its biggest blowout in school history at the expense of visiting Berkmar. And it could have been much worse. The Rams rolled to an incredible 49-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and recorded the game's first 63 points. Not a single point was scored by either team in the entire second half as a running clock brought a mercifully swift end to the proceedings.
Top performers: Nick Prince of Grayson rushed 13 times for 127 yards and two touchdowns, scoring on runs of three yards and 20 yards in the second quarter. ... Quarterback Chase Brice began the scoring parade early with touchdown passes to Austin Nash and Evan Sturgill. ... The Bears got touchdown runs from Denzel Wright, Ernest Tiller, Cameryn Brent and Cameron Thompson. ... Dimetrios Mason returned an interception 20 yards to the endzone to cap off the first-quarter scoring. ... Berkmar scored its only touchdown on a 90-yard kickoff return by Chaquan Bacote.
