GHSF Daily asked Georgia head coaches to answer these four questions. We'll report from a different head coach each day.

Paul Standard, St. Pius

1. What is the most memorable game you've been a part of as a player or coach? "We have had so many, but the one that comes to mind is St. Pius X vs. Thomas County Central, 2006 quarterfinals at Thomas County Central. We went up early, then fell behind 27-7 in the third quarter. We somehow found a way to come back within seven points late in the fourth quarter, made a stop on fourth down, drove down and scored with 10 seconds left to tie. We scored first in OT, and TCC scored in two plays. They went for two and we made a stop that sent us to the semifinals. Coach Ed Pilcher, who I have the utmost respect for, was as gracious as anyone could have been in that situation. When the game ended, he brought both teams together and congratulated our team. Just a first-class gentleman."

2. Which high school coach would you want your son to play for, and why? "I do have a son who is now a college graduate assistant at The Citadel, and there are so many great men I would want him to have played for. But the two that come to mind are coach George B. Maloof, my high school coach [at St. Pius], and coach Phil Jones [current head coach at Shorter University]. Great men who cared about their players."

3. What is your favorite saying or motto? "Nobody walks but the mailman! So get moving!"

4. Which GHSA policy or high school football rule would you most like to see changed? "I would like the GHSA to take a look at the new full-contact rules and come up with a better way to define the terms and understand that we are teaching fundamentals at this point in a player's career."
