GHSF Daily asked Georgia head coaches to answer these four questions. We'll report from a different head coach each day.

Mike Humphreys, Loganville

1. What is the most memorable game you've been a part of as a player or coach?"The most memorable game since I have been coaching in Georgia was the 'protest' game between Duluth and Dacula when I was coaching at Duluth. Late in the fourth quarter, Coach Maloof protested an official's interpretation of a rule. We went on to beat Dacula that night. The state granted the protest, and we had to come back on Monday night and replay the game from the point of the protest. It was crazy on Monday night. There was media from everywhere there to cover the game. We ended up winning on Monday, too." [This 2003 game was played on Oct. 31, 2003, or 13 years ago today. Duluth won 17-14, but Dacula coach Kevin Maloof won a protest with the GHSA because of the misinterpretation of the penalty on a dead-ball foul. The GHSA allowed the final 11:51 of the game to be replayed with Duluth ahead 10-7. Duluth went on to win 17-10.]

2. Which high school coach would you want your son to play for, and why?"I have two sons, and neither played football, but if they did I would want them to play for one of three coaches - Don Sharpe, the coach I got my start under in Florida; Keith Daniels, who I coached under in the Mississippi Junior College League; or Bill Shields, who I coached under at Duluth High School."

3. What is your pet peeve as a coach or favorite saying/motto?"You have to get better every day. If you don't get better you get worse because you don't stay the same."

4. Which GHSA policy or high school football rule would you most like to see changed? "I guess like other coaches have stated there has to be some control over kids transferring from school to school. I'm sure this is probably one of the most difficult things to govern, but there needs to be some effort put forth by the state."
