Daily List: Teams that won first playoff games in at least six years

Milton and Newton, schools that started varsity football in 1949 and 1950, respectively, won their first-ever state-playoff games in the first round this year. Milton won a region playoff game in 1953. Newton won two in 1987. But for state playoffs, neither had scratched. This list shows the most recent playoff victory of any kind for teams that advanced in the first round. It includes schools that hadn't won in at least five years.
