For the first time in the history of the highest classification, three teams from the same region are ranked 1-2-3 - No. 1 Colquitt County, No. 2 Camden County and No. 3 Lowndes. But it has happened for 34 weeks in history that three teams from the same region have occupied the first three positions in any classification, most recently in 2006. Here are the 14 groups of teams that have covered those 34 weeks. Note that the number of regions were sometimes fewer than eight per classification until 1974, making it more likely to occur in the early decades of GHSA regional alignment.
