How the game was won: Visiting Carrollton built a 27-0 lead before the Jackets got on the board to take a 27-7 deficit into the half. Carrollton quarterback Mark Wright opened the second half with a 17-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Bonner and a 14-yard touchdown by Mecose Todd gave the Trojans a 41-7 lead entering the final frame.

Top performers: Mark Wright rushed for two first half touchdowns and tossed touchdown passes to Xavier Hammett (16 yards) and Jordan Bonner (17 yards). Jaylan Thomas ran in a 13-yard touchdown in the second quarter.

Buford 56, Jones County 26

How the game was won: Buford led 28-6 at half and scored two touchdowns early in the third quarter to ice the game. The Wolves rushed for 344 yards and seven touchdowns.

Top performers: Christian Turner rushed 17 times for 111 yards and four touchdowns, his longest 21 yards, to lead host Buford. Anthony Grant was close behind with 20 rushes for 106 yards and an 8-yard score, while Derrian Brown (76 yds) and TD Roof (11 yds) also scored on the ground. Quarterback Mic Roof was 8-of-13 passing for 133 yards and a 24-yard TD to Tanner Alexander.

Kell 31, Starr’s Mill 3

How the game was won: The Kell Longhorns held the Starr's Mill Panthers scoreless for the final three quarters. The Longhorns iced the game with two non-offensive touchdowns. Kell returned a punt into the end zone in the second quarter making it 23-3 and they scored off of a fumble recovery in the third to ultimately bring the score to 31-3 after the extra point attempt.

Top Performers: Josiah Futral had a 16 yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter, while Connor Mendleson had a 25 yard field goal and Dre Houston had a 24 yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter.
