How the game was won: Carver-Columbus broke the game open against host Troup with two touchdowns in the last four minutes and 30 seconds of the first half and another touchdown on its opening drive of the second half. Those three scores extended the Tigers' advantage from 21-14 late in the second quarter to 42-14 early in the third quarter. Carver-Columbus blanked Troup throughout the second half and thus scored 27 unanswered points en route to victory.

Top performers: Camren Russell found the endzone on a one-yard touchdown dive in the first quarter to cap off an 83-yard drive for Troup and level the score at 7-7. ... Mess Bonner cut Troup's deficit to 21-7 with a 44-yard scoring jaunt in the second quarter.
